A zone is a collection of rooms that have a certain similar usage behavior. This usage behavior is called usage profile. This means that a zone contains rooms and has a usage profile.
To create a zone, press the "Add Zone" button.
This opens a dialog in which various usage profiles are available for selection. Select the appropriate usage profile in this dialog and confirm your selection with the "Select" button. The usage profile can also be selected directly with a double-click.
After a zone with the desired usage profile has been created, rooms can be added. This can be done in the following way:
- Simply drag and drop one or more rooms from the "Unassigned rooms" building view into the selected zone
- Select the zone and then one or more rooms and then press the "Add rooms to selected zone" button
Floors and the entire building can also be assigned to the zones. You can drag any combination of rooms and floors into a zone, or add them to the selected zone using the "Add room/rooms to selected zone" button. Additional functions are available for editing the zones:
- A selected zone can be deleted with the "Delete zone(s)" button
- The "Cancel zoning" button removes the selected rooms, which are already assigned to a zone, from this zone. The rooms then reappear in the building view under "Unassigned rooms".
