Hot Swap battery exchange

The working battery supplies the scanner for approx. 12 hours per charge when the room lighting is not in use. When the working battery is empty, you can change it without shutting down the scanner. To do this, unlock the battery compartment in the housing and remove the battery. Once the battery has been removed, the battery indicator flashes quickly. When the working battery is removed, a backup battery supplies power to the scanner for two minutes. The scanner automatically shuts down if no charged working battery is inserted within this two minute period. If a charged battery is inserted within two minutes, scanning continues or the scanner is once again placed on standby.
