OneShot remote control

The functions in this area can only be used once a WLAN connection has been established from the modeler software to the OneShot.

Windows Network Connection

The workstation where the modeler is used requires a WLAN module. After the scanner starts, it searches for the scanner in the Windows network environment. The network name of each OneShot is unique and has the form: HS2-210123 The last six digits vary for each device.

Network Security Key

The network security key is the serial number of the scanner. The serial number can be found on the bottom of the device:

The serial number is entered without a separator. For this device, the security key is: d202210015

Connect

Now the requirements are met to connect to the scanner in the software. To do this, simply click on "Connect" in the upper left corner.

Basic

On the left side, from top to bottom, are the following functions:

Connect/Disconnect

As described above, this establishes or disconnects the scanner. An existing connection is indicated by the blue Wi-Fi symbol, if there is no Wi-Fi connection, the gray Wi-Fi symbol is displayed.

Scan

A scan will start here. Before doing so, make sure that the OneShot is securely attached to the tripod and that the desired geometry is in the scanner's field of view. The scanner must not be moved during the scan.

During the scan, the green light on the device will flash.

Free Memory

The OneShot has a large internal memory that can hold up to 1000 scans. Nevertheless, you should make sure that you download the recorded scans at regular intervals and delete them on the device in order to always have enough memory available.

Laser on/off

The two lasers of the OneShot can be switched on and off if necessary. This is especially helpful for setting up the scanner optimally. Both lasers must be aimed at a suitable surface: the vertical laser must point to the ceiling, the horizontal laser to a wall. Reflective, transparent and non-reflective surfaces should not be used for measurement!

If the lasers are switched on, this is also signaled by the upper red lamp on the scanner

Buzzer on/off

The OneShot indicates by a beep when a scan has ended. This is helpful if you want to leave the premises or the field of view during a scan. The function can be switched on and off here.

On the device, this is indicated by the blue LED.

HQ on/off

This function can be used to turn image enhancements on or off. By default, the feature is active. In the active state, a scan takes a few seconds longer, but the image quality is significantly improved by the acquisition of HDR images, exposure optimizations and more.

The function cannot be switched on or off on the device.

Update

This opens another window where you can update the firmware of the OneShot if an update is available. As a rule, this is not necessary.

Projects

In the middle of the window is the view for the projects. Here the projects can be downloaded to the computer.

Update project list...This will get a list of existing projects on the connected OneShot.
Download selected projects ...

In the list, the desired projects can be selected and then downloaded. Depending on the number, this can take a few minutes.

The download can be canceled without any problems and repeated at a later time. Only the missing data is downloaded.

Delete selected projects

Attention. This deletes projects on the OneShot! Before using this feature, make sure that you have completely downloaded and backed up all the projects you need.

In order to always have enough space available on the OneShot, you should regularly delete projects from the device.

Open folder ...This will open the folder where the downloaded projects will be placed.
