Notes on operation

Mouse navigation in the panorama

The mouse can perform the following actions when the cursor is over the panorama image:

  •  Turn the mouse wheel forward: zooms in on the panorama image as far as possible
  • Turn the mouse wheel back: zooms out on the panorama image as far as possible
  • Hold down the right mouse button and move the mouse: The visible section of the panorama image follows the cursor until the right mouse button is released. This process is equivalent to turning your head in the room to see it from a different perspective.
  • The mouse wheel is used to select 3D elements in the panorama.

Snap points

Snap points are directly visible or temporarily displayed during construction. Visible snap points include the measuring points for the laser measurements (green in colour) and the corner points of the previously constructed 3D elements (yellow in colour). Temporary snap points are automatically displayed when the cursor is located near an edge, an intersection or the centre of an edge. There is an individual visualisation for each snap point:

  • Line: a sphere; orange
  • Edge: a cube standing on its base, yellow
  • Intersection: a cube standing on its point, red
  • Centre point: a  sphere, blue

Snap points are important for targeted 3D modelling. The goal of modelling is to have an enclosed room shell.

Key functions

he following key functions are available to 3D support modelling:

F2/F3

Temporary construction lines, vertical / horizontal, ideal for e.g. design openings of the same height.

  • F2 creates on a wall plane a horizontal, temporary construction line
  • F3 creates on a wall plane a vertcal, temporary construction line

F6/F7/F8/F9Switch on/off Snap on corner points/ intersection points/ center points/ edges
X

Temporary deactivation of all snap points. The snap functions for the next point are switched off.

This makes it possible to snap to an edge right next to a “magnetic” end point or center point.

Input value

When drawing measuring lines / measuring angles / parallel construction lines / columns an input dialog appears. For example, measuring lines with a given length, supports with a given height, etc. can be constructed.
