InfoLaser warning: The laser used in the HottScan HS-1 falls into laser class 2 and features a red laser beam in the visible range. Short exposure to this laser of up to 0.25 seconds is not dangerous to the eye. Under normal circumstances, the blink reflex causes the eye to close if exposed to the laser. However, as the blink reflex cannot be guaranteed under all circumstances and for all people, we recommend that you never look at the laser. The laser beam comes out of the upper opening of the rotating and tilting head, vertical to the front panel. The HottScan HS-1 switches on the laser only briefly during the stationary phase. Always look away from the laser beam. Watch for mirrors or other highly reflective surfaces. To be perfectly safe, leave the room when scanning is taking place
