Select Scheme

With the configuration module (via button "Change scheme") the desired system can be assembled quickly and easily. Via double click or the button "Select" the desired schema is taken over from the schema table into the representation of the system wiring.

In the case of a cascade connection, further heat pumps can be added or removed again after selecting the schema using an additional button. Next to the display, there is a slider on the right side of the screen which allows the display size to be changed with the mouse.

Control settings of the plant

  • Operating mode
    • monovalent: Only the main heat generator is used to cover the heat demand.
    • bivalent-alternative: The main heat generator covers the heating demand up to the set bivalence temperature. If the outside temperature drops below the bivalence temperature, the main heat generator switches off and the secondary generator is switched on.
    • bivalent-parallel: The main heat generator covers the complete heating requirement up to the set bivalence temperature. If the outside temperature drops below the bivalence temperature, the secondary heat generator switches on and supports the main heat generator.
  • Priority control - Determine here whether the heating or the domestic hot water should be heated first when there is a simultaneous demand for domestic hot water and heating.
  • Heating limit temperature - If the outdoor temperature rises above the set heating limit temperature, the heating system is switched off completely.
  • Cooling limit temperature - If the outside temperature falls below the set cooling limit temperature, the cooling function of the system (if present) is switched off completely.
  • Optimize flow temperature ("Weather-compensated control") - Instead of the static flow temperature (of e.g. 35 °C), the flow temperature is adjusted so that the heat requirement of the room with the greatest heat demand is covered.
  • Self-powered - If a PV system has been created in the project or if a CHP is used, you can use the generated electricity to operate the heat pump.

Control of individual system components

By clicking with the left mouse button on a component in the display of the system interconnection, additional information can be entered here:

Heat pumps and chillers

  • Heat source or recooler: For heat pumps and chillers, the information on the heat source or recooler is stored here. The selection is displayed as a symbol next to the component. For compression chillers only air is available for selection. Available for selection:
    • Erdsonde
    • flat ground collector
    • Air
    • Groundwater
    • Hybrid cooler - for chillers only
    • Cooling tower - for chillers only
  • Heating element: For a heat pump it can also be specified whether it has a heating element. This is also indicated by a symbol next to the heat pump.
  • Control settings of the heat pump:
    • Operating mode (in combination with a heating element)
      • monovalent - only the heat pump runs
      • mono energy parallel - the heat pump runs up to the set bivalence temperature. If the outdoor temperature drops below the bivalence temperature, the heat pump's heating element is switched on
      • monoenergetic-partial-parallel - like "monoergetic-parallel", however the heat pump switches off, if the outside temperature sinks more deeply than the adjusted Abschlattemperatur
    • Bivalence temperature - can be entered manually and is otherwise calculated automatically
  • Shut-off temperature - only in case of mono energy partial parallel operation mode
  • Hysteresis - temperature difference between switching the heat pump on and off
  • Cooling function - With suitable heat pump: May the heat pump cool?

Buffer storage

  • Heating element can be added/removed.
  • PV current guided can be selected. In this case the storage tank may be used to store excess PV power (only if the heating limit temperature is not exceeded and the storage tank temperature is below the maximum temperature).
  • Maximum storage temperature can be entered. This is the maximum temperature that may prevail in the storage tank.

Drinking water tank (in addition to buffer tank controls)

  • Solar thermal can be added/removed.
  • Domestic hot water temperature - the temperature to which the domestic hot water storage tank should be maintained at the level of the draw-off pipes. When the circulation is activated, the temperature of domestic hot water should be at least 60°C to prevent the formation of legionella
  • Thermal disinfection - setting whether and at what intervals thermal disinfection of the storage tank should be performed. The storage tank is then heated to 75°C for 5 minutes to prevent the formation of legionella and other bacteria
  • Loading time: Here you can set in quarter-hourly resolution when the drinking water tank can be loaded (left mouse button on, right mouse button off)
  • Circulation - define the properties of the circulation network to calculate the heat loss. The heat loss per day is distributed evenly throughout the day

Distributions

  • Depending on the selection of components, an overflow valve or a flow reduction can be selected for the distribution, only the rearmost distribution is fixed.
