The shading takes direct sunlight into account. Diffuse irradiation is not affected. You can see a raster image in which a horizon line can be entered in 5° resolution. It can be increased by holding down the left mouse button and decreased by holding down the right mouse button. By additionally holding down the Ctrl key, individual pixels can also be set and deleted, e.g. to draw in overhangs or trees.

This shading applies to the entire building. If the sun is shaded, none of the exterior components receive direct sunlight. This means that distant obstacles are correctly detected and closer obstacles can be approached.

The "Add Object" button enters a shading that is caused by an object with the entered distance, height, width and azimuth direction (south deviation) into the raster image. The azimuth can be entered in degrees of -180° (north) and 180° (north).

Whether or not the shading projection should be considered in the calculation can be set at the "Consider Shading" option switch. The "Clear All" button sets the entire horizon to unshaded.
